Lea Christen is a passionate educator who thrives on making complex concepts simple and accessible for her students. She enjoys the creative challenge of finding the right explanations, examples, and analogies to help students experience that “aha” moment and gain confidence in their learning.
With a Bachelor of Arts in Primary Education from PH Bern and a Master’s in Illustration from Falmouth University, Lea has extensive experience teaching at various levels. She has worked as a class teacher and deputy head teacher at BTM School, where she taught German, mathematics, nature and society, art, and sports. She has also provided educational support in care teams and event organization. Since 2021, she has been an online tutor, teaching children and adults in subjects such as German, exam preparation, and business language training.
Fluent in German, French, and English, and with beginner-level Spanish and Swedish, Lea brings a multilingual approach to her teaching. Outside of tutoring, she enjoys permaculture gardening, yoga, and creating handmade clothing through sewing and knitting.
